Commands that contain square brackets
indicate that the contents are optional. The
function of the command is the same with or
without the square bracketed items, as shown
below. For example, for the query:
[SENSe:]UNIT?
Both SENSe:UNIT? and UNIT? are valid forms.
For commands, this will set the
setting to the lowest value. This
parameter can be used in place of any
numerical parameter where indicated.
For queries, it will return the lowest
possible value allowed for the
particular setting.
