Reduce the cruise speed
There are three ways to reduce the
cruise speed:
〉
Press the button to reduce the
speed.
〉
Press and hold the button to reduce
the speed continuously.
〉
Step on the brake pedal to reduce the
vehicle to the required speed, and
then press the
button to set a new
speed.
Accelerating temporarily
To accelerate temporarily during vehicle
speed setting, depress the accelerator
pedal. After accelerating, you can re-
lease the accelerator pedal to resume
the previously set speed.
Adjust the distance level
Press the distance level adjustment but-
ton on the steering wheel to adjust the
following distance to the front vehicle.
WARNING
Setting a low distance level may result
in a delay in reaction in the event of
unexpected situations, and it is always
your responsibility to adjust the dis-
tance level appropriately.
NOTICE

The distance level is not a xed dis-
tance, and the actual distance be-
tween the vehicle and the front vehi-
cle will vary with the vehicle speed of
the vehicle.

Select a higher distance level when
driving on wet and slippery roads
than when driving on dry roads.
Cancel the cruise speed
There are two ways to release the set
speed:
〉
Step on the brake pedal.
〉
Press the set speed release button on
the steering wheel.
After the set speed is canceled, the sys-
tem is not turned o, and the
adap-
tive cruise control indicator or
intelli-
gent cruise assist indicator on the com-
bination instrument turns from green to
white.
NOTICE
The set speed will be automatically re-
leased under any of the following cir-
cumstance:
〉
Depress the accelerator pedal to ac-
celerate the driving speed for more
than 15 minutes.
〉
The N or R gear is engaged.
〉
When the driver's side seat belt is re-
leased.
〉
Open the door at driver’s side.
〉
Applying parking brake
〉
The anti-lock brake system (ABS) is
activated.
〉
The hill decent control system is acti-
vated.
