Tips for safety
About trac safety
Never take a risk in driving because the
vehicle is equipped with driving assist
systems and always ensure that the ve-
hicle speed and driving style adapt to vi-
sion, weather, road and trac condi-
tions.
About modication
Suspension modication or use of tyres
or wheels of non-specied size will im-
pact driving assist systems and may
cause system malfunctions.
About sound and vibration
Some driving assist systems (such as
ABS) may create a vibration or make a
sound during working, which does not
indicate a malfunction.
When you jump start the vehicle due
to battery power loss, the ABS or the
ESC warning lamps may light up, which
is caused due to the low battery volt-
age, and it does not indicate that the
ABS or the ESC is faulty.
Anti-lock brake system
When brake is applied or the vehicle is
braked suddenly during driving on wet
and slippery road, the anti-lock brake
system (ABS) helps prevent wheels from
locking to maintain steering control of
the vehicle.
CAUTION
During emergency braking, do not step
on the brake pedal several times and
gently. Otherwise, it will lengthen the
braking distance.
The ABS is not designed to shorten the
braking distance of the vehicle. Espe-
cially in the following cases, compared
with vehicles not equipped with the
ABS, your vehicle may require a longer
braking distance. Be sure to maintain
adequate safe distance from the vehi-
cle travelling in front:
When driving on muddy, gravel or
snowy road.
When driving with tyre chains in
place.
When driving on bumpy road.
When driving on potholes or uneven
road.
The ABS may not work eectively in the
following conditions:
When the limit of tyre grip
