Tyre maintenance
To ensure a safe drive, make sure that
the tyres used suit your vehicle and that
they possess a good tread and appropri-
ate tyre pressure.
WARNING
〉
Do not use the excessive wear tyres
or tyres with insucient tyre pres-
sure; doing so may lead to an acci-
dent or injury.
〉
You must abide by all manual in-
structions regarding tyre ination
and maintenance.
〉
Burning tyres by individuals produ-
ces toxic gases. Please head to a
service provider for service.
Tyre check
When checking tyre ination state, you
should also check that there is no exter-
nal damage, embedded foreign objects
or excessive wear, etc.
If any of the following circumstances are
found, you should replace the tyre as
soon as possible:
〉
There is damage and bulging in the
tyre tread or side.
〉
There is excessive wear to the tyre
tread.
Tyre pressure
Maintaining appropriate tyre pressure
levels can maximize vehicle handle abili-
ty, tyre tread life and drive comfort.
Uneven wear of under-inated tyres also
impacts the handling of the vehicle and
fuel consumption, and may cause tyres
to go at due to overheating.
Over-inated tyres can lead to an un-
comfortable ride as well as damage to
the tyre due to uneven road surfaces, as
well as uneven wear to the tyres.
It is recommended that you check the
tyre pressure regularly, including the
spare tyre(If equipped).
Tyre pressure should be measured
when the tyre is cold. If parking is more
than 3 hours or driving distance is not
more than 1.5 km, then the measure-
ment will get more accurate data. When
checking tyre pressure after the tyre has
been warmed up (after a drive), the
pressure reading will be 30 to 40 kPa
higher than the cold-state reading. This
is normal. Do not deate the tyre to ach-
ieve recommended cold-state pressure
levels at this point as this will lead to
