RS-232 test
The RS-232 test icon allows you to test serial communication from the serial port by using the
printer port as a return port. See Figure 8-5.
1) Disconnect the printer and RS-232 serial connections and connect a serial cable
between the analyzer’s serial ports (from one serial port to the other).
2) Press the start test icon.

Start test icon sends serial data out one serial port and reads the data on the other. If the
read data matches the sent data, the test passes.
Return icon returns you to the diagnostics dialog box.
