05.02 hw+ circuit breakers - Quick guide
Principles
The hw+ circuit breakers and load break switches provide reliable protection against overload,
short-circuit and equipment earth fault for all low-voltage power distribution systems.

of 400 A up to 1600 A for 3 or 4 terminals
– Permanently installed (-F) or withdrawable (-W)
– High protective performance with a disconnection capacity of up to 66 kA
– Flexible protection settings for adjustment to all electrical distribution systems
The hw+ series features two product categories:
– Circuit breakers: These are fitted with an electronic tripping unit sentinel to ensure overload and
short-circuit protection. Users can configure protection parameters and monitor the function using
the display and dials.
– Load break switches: These are primarily used for disconnection in electrical distribution applica-
tions. Versions are available for 400 A, 630 A, 800 A, 1000 A, 1250 A and 1600 A.
