Congratulations on purchasing an Elite Series Haltech
Engine Management System. This fully programmable
system provides you with the capability for virtually limitless
performance modifications and tuning for your vehicle.
A programmable ECU enables you to maximize your engine’s
performance by precisely delivering the required amount of
fuel and ignition timing needed for maximum output under all
driving conditions.
This quick start guide will walk you through the installation of
a Haltech Elite Series ECU into your vehicle. For detailed
information, refer to the Help section in the Nexus Software
Programmer (NSP), which you or your tuner should review
before completing the installation and configuration. The NSP
software can be downloaded from the Haltech website.
It may be unlawful to tamper with your vehicle’s emissions
equipment. This ECU is designed and sold for Sanctioned
Offroad / Competition Non-Emissions Controlled Vehicles only.
Using this product for street / road use on public highways may
be prohibited by law. It is the responsibility of the installer and/or
user of this product to ensure compliance with all applicable
local and federal laws and regulations. Please check with your
local vehicle authority before using this product.
A comprehensive instruction manual is available within the
Nexus Software Programmer, containing detailed information on
the installation, setup, and tuning of your Elite Series ECU.
To access this information, open the Haltech NSP software and
press the "F1" key on your computer.

Haltech NSP (Nexus Software Programmer) is the software used
for tuning and programming Elite Series ECUs. Follow these
steps to install the Haltech NSP software:
1. Download the NSP installer - Go to the Haltech website
www.haltech.com), navigate to the ‘Downloads’ section, and click
on the download link.
2. Run the installer file - Once the download is complete, locate
the downloaded file (usually in the ‘Downloads’ folder of your
computer) and double-click on the file to run the Nexus Software
Setup Wizard.
3. Launch Haltech NSP - Once the installation is complete, you
can launch the Haltech NSP software from the Windows ‘Start’
menu or using the desktop shortcut that was created.
Please note DirectX is required for correct operation of the Nexus
Software Programmer, the installer package will your system and
prompt for installation of DirectX if not already installed. Follow
the prompts to complete.
