Fitting the 2000 Simplicity
seat (manual)
Items required: Tools required:
• Seat • 13mm Socket
• 4mm Allen key
• No. 2 Pozi-drive
Note: For powered seat – see pages 28-33.
1 Remove seat from the seat box.
2 Remove power pack carry handle (Figure 50)
and fasten the seat post to the correct height
(Torque 33Nm) (Figure 51).
3 Lay the seat on its back on the floor and
remove the seat base bolt and washer
(Figure 52).
4 Lift the seat and position it on to the seat
stem (Figure 53).
Note: Be careful not to knock the swivel safety
switch when lowering the seat onto the stem
(Figure 54).
5 Gently rotate the seat backwards and
forwards until the swivel locking peg locates.
6 Fully swivel the seat using the swivel levers.
7 Refit the seat base bolt and washer that you
removed in step 3 (Figure 55).
8 Swivel the seat back to the drive position
using the swivel levers.
9 Remove the drive toggle and link cables and
make the seat cable connections by feeding
through the seat stem/post (Figure 56).
Note: Ensure that no cables are pinched or
trapped when fitting the power pack front cover.
