In
the
event
you
receive
a
CD391
or
CD491
Cassette
Deck
with
the
complaint
"unit
records
pop
or
bleep
on
tape
when
placed
in
record
pause
mode"
we
recommend
you
solder
on
the
micro
processor
PC
Board
a
signal
diode
between
IC
801
and
IC
852.
The
anode
of
this
diode
is
connected
to
PIN
6 of
IC
801
and
the
cathode
of
this
diode
is
connected
to
PIN
14
of
IC
852.
The
purpose
of
this
diode
is
to
prevent
the
transport
from
rewinding
the
tape
momentarily
at
the
moment
the
pause
button
is
r
)
depressed.
Due
to
this
momentary
rewind
of
the
tape
while
the
bias
oscillator
is
on,
the
bias
signal
will
be
recorded
on
the
tape
at
high
tape
speed.
When
the
tape
is
played
back
this
high
frequency
signal
becomes
audible.
The
modification
indicated
above
will
prevent
this
momentary
rewind.
