ASSEMBLY
WARNING:
Neveroperatethemowerwithoutthepropersafetyde-
vicesinplaceandworking.Neveroperatethemower
with damaged safety devices. Operating the mower
with missing or damaged parts can result in serious

UNFOLDING AND ADJUSTING THE HANDLE
ASSEMBLY
See Figures 2 - 3.
NOTICE:
Do not allow the starter cable to become pinched or
trappedwhenraisingthehandle.
Therearetwohandleheightpositionsforusercomfort.
 Raisethehandleassembly.Avoidpinchingortrapping
anycables.
NOTE: There are two stop positions for a higher and
loweradjustmentofthehandle.Thisallowsforamore
comfortableoperatingposition.
To raise the lower handle:
 Pull the handle adjustment knobs out and rotate
90degrees.
 Raisethelowerhandle.Avoidpinchingortrappingany
cables.
 Rotatetheknob90degreesagaintosecurehandlein
place.
To raise the upper handle:
 Openthehandlelocklevers.
 Fullyextendtheupperhandle.
 Closethehandlelockleverstosecuretheupperhandle
inplace.Avoidpinchingortrappinganycables.
INSTALLING THE MULCHING PLUG
(FOR MULCHING OPERATION)
See Figure 4.
NOTE: When using the mulching plug, do not install the
grasscatcher.
 Removestartkeyandbatterypack.
 Liftandholdthereardischargedoor.
 Grasp the mulching plug by its handle and insert it at a
slightangle,asshown.
 Pushthemulchingplugsecurelyintoplace.
 Lowerthereardischargedoor.
 Reinstallstartkeyandbatterypackwhenyouareready
tomow.
UNPACKING
Thisproductrequiresassembly.
 Carefullyremovetheproductandanyaccessoriesfrom
thebox.MakesurethatallitemslistedinthePacking
Listareincluded.
WARNING:
Do not use this product if any parts on the Packing List
are already assembled to your product when you unpack
it.Partsonthislistarenotassembledtotheproductby
themanufacturerandrequirecustomerinstallation.Use
ofaproductthatmayhavebeenimproperlyassembled
couldresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
 Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage
ordamageoccurredduringshipping.
 Donotdiscardthepackingmaterialuntilyouhavecare-
fullyinspectedandsatisfactorilyoperatedtheproduct.
