Use of any other parts can create a hazard or cause

WARNING:
Never use a hose, water, or any liquids to clean or
rinse off the lawn mower. Corrosiveliquids,water,fer-
tilizers,andchemicalsusedtotreatlawnscanenterthe
lawnmowerand/orbatterycompartmentanddamage
electroniccomponentsand/orthebatterypack,which
can result in a short circuit, increased risk of fire, and
serious personal injury. Remove any buildup of grass
andleavesonoraroundthemowerhousingand/orun-
derneaththemowerdeck.Wipethemowercleanwith
adryclothoccasionally.
NOTICE:
Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,
etc.Tightensecurelyallfastenersandcapsanddonot
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts
are replaced. Please contact customer service or an
authorizedservicecenterforassistance.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoidusingsolventswhencleaningplasticparts.Mostplastics
aresusceptibletodamagefromvarioustypesofcommercial
solventsandmaybedamagedbytheiruse.Usecleancloths
toremovedirt,dust,oil,grease,etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petro-
leum-based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in
contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage,
weaken, or destroy plastic which can result in serious
personalinjury.
MAINTENANCE
NOTICE:
Neveruseahose,water,oranyliquidstocleanthelawn
mower, as water can damage electronic components
andthebatterypack.Removeanybuildupofgrassand
leavesonoraroundthemotorcover.Wipethemower
cleanwithadryclothoccasionally.
LUBRICATION
Allofthebearingsinthisproductarelubricatedwithasufficient
amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit under
normal operating conditions. Therefore, no further bearing
lubricationisrequired.
WARNING:
Alwaysprotecthandsbywearingheavyglovesand/or
wrapping the cutting edges of the blade with rags and
othermaterialwhenperformingblademaintenance.Con-
tactwiththebladecouldresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
REPLACING THE CUTTING BLADE
See Figures 15 - 16.
NOTE: Onlyuseauthorizedreplacementblades.
Stopthemotorandremovethestartkey.Allowbladeto
cometoacompletestop.
Removethebatterypackfromthebatteryport.
Turnthemoweronitsside.
Wedge a block of wood between the blade and mower
decktopreventthebladefromturning.
Loosen the blade nut by turning it counterclockwise (as
viewedfrombottomofmower)usinga15mmwrenchor
socket(notprovided).
Removethebladenut,spacer,bladeinsulator,andblade.
Placethenewbladeontheshaftagainstthebladeposts.
Ensure blade is properly seated with shaft going through
center blade hole and the two blade posts inserted into their
respectiveholesontheblade.Makesureitisinstalledwith
thecurvedendspointinguptowardthemowerdeckand
notdowntowardtheground.Whenseatedproperly,the
bladeshouldbeflat.
Replacethebladeinsulatorand spacer,thenthreadthe
bladenutontheshaftandfingertighten.
NOTE: Make certain all parts are replaced in the exact order
inwhichtheywereremoved.
Torque the blade nut down clockwise using a torque wrench
(notprovided)toensuretheboltisproperlytightened.The
recommendedtorqueforthebladenutis310–360in.lbs.
WARNING:
Ensure blade is properly seated and the blade nut is
tightenedtothetorquespecificationsabove.Failureto
properly attach the blade could cause it to come loose
andresultinpossibleseriouspersonalinjury.
