Why is my HARVEY GYRO AIR G700 not picking up dust well?
- RRhonda LynchAug 2, 2025
If your HARVEY Dust Collector isn't providing enough suction, several factors could be the cause. Start by checking and cleaning the filters, as dirty filters can significantly reduce performance. Ensure there are no obstructions in the duct line; a plumbing snake may be necessary to clear blockages. Consider the machine's placement—it should be closer to the source of dust, and the ducting should avoid sharp bends. Lumber with high moisture content (over 20%) can also impede airflow. Check for leaks in the ducting and close any unused ports. Finally, ensure that the ducting and ports are correctly sized, and that not too many branch lines are open at once, which can cause a velocity drop in the main line.
