LENSES
Introduction
All the lenses made for the Habselblad
SOOC, 500C/M, 500BI. and SUGEL^M
{C lenses in »hicli die C stands for llie

also fit the He.sselblad 2000FC. However,
a series of lenses (F Jenses) have been
especially designed for the 2000FC.
r lenses (Fig. 8}
Lenses for the Hassciblad 2000FC will be
rcfcTied to as F lenses in this instruction
manual (the *F' stands for The focal plane
shutter, but wdll not be found on the
lenses themselves). Since F lenses have no
built-in shutters, they can not be u&ed
with the HasselhlaJ 500C. iOOC/M.
500EL or 500EL/M.
F lenses have diaphragins which automat-
ically stop down to the preselected f/stop
when tlic camera is triggered and reopen
(o (he maxim um aperture after concluded
exposure. However, the dep(h*of-field
yielded by the preselected f/stop can be
previewed using the depih-of-field preview
catch (34).
C lenses (Fig. 9)
Lenses maile for (he HasselWad 500C,
500C/M, 500E1, and 50OFX/M will be
referred tv as C lenses in this instruction
manual. (However, this desh;nation uill
not be found on the lenses themselves).

Tlie C lenses have diaphragm which auto¬
matically stop down to the preselected
r/stop when ^e camera Is triggered. They
also have built-in S>Rcbro-C<nnpur leaf
shutters full)* synchronized at all shutter
speeds (1-1/500 s).
The shutter Is cocked and the diapUragiu
reopens to tii maximum Aperture during
the film advance seqiieiiee.
CHANGING I.ENSES
F lenses
Lem removal (Fig. 10 )
Make sure the shutter is cocked (white
signal in the shutter cocking mdicator
window 9).
Hold the lens by the fixed grip ring (35)

Note: If the lens refuses to budge, the
camera is in Ihe pre-release mode. Restore
