If you shoot a still image of a subject that is
difficult to focus on
When the camera cannot focus on the subject automatically, the
focus indicator blinks. Either recompose the shot or change the
focus setting

lit Focus locked.

Focus is conrmed. Focal point moves following a moving
subject.

Still focusing.
ashing Cannot focus.
Focusing may be dicult in the following situations:
– It is dark and the subject is distant.
– e contrast between the subject and the background is poor.
– e subject is seen through glass.
– e subject is moving quickly.
– e subject reects light such as mirror, or has shiny surfaces.
– e subject is ashing.
– e subject is backlit.
