wheel.
With the power switch in the LOCK mode,
press the tailgate control button on the key.
⚠ Warning
When closing the tailgate manually, be sure
to push on the tailgate from outside the
vehicle to fully close it. If you only use the
hand grip to close the tailgate directly, it is
easy to trap your hand, and this could cause
an injury.
Driving the vehicle with the tailgate open is
prohibited.
No passengers are allowed in the luggage
compartment.
If there are other people in the vicinity of
the tailgate, ensure that they are not hurt
when opening or closing the tailgate.
When closing the boot lid, ensure that
nothing you are carrying or wearing
becomes trapped in the door.
Do not let children operate the tailgate.
This could lead to an injury.
⚠ Caution
If manual opening or closing of the tailgate is
required, please ensure that it is opened or
closed slowly and steadily. Do not suddenly
and forcefully open or close the tailgate.
Use caution when opening the tailgate in
strong wind. When windy, the tailgate may
open too far causing it to distort.
If the tailgate is frozen shut or covered with ice
and snow, do not force open the tailgate. Use
the A/C heating function to increase the
temperature in the vehicle before opening the
tailgate.
If the tailgate must be opened in an emergency,
warm water may be poured on it to melt the
ice. Wait until the ice has loosened before
trying to open the tailgate.
Do not install or paste any ornaments on the
tailgate support rod.
Do not pull sideways on the tailgate, as this
may result in the support bending.
In the process of opening or closing, do not
force it in the opposite direction, as this may
result in injury or damage to the tailgate.
Notice
When the ambient temperature is lower than
0°C, the tailgate support may not automatically
raise the tailgate. If this happens, the tailgate can
be manually raised to open it.
Do not install heavy attachments on the tailgate,
as this may cause the support to fail to hold the
tailgate up.
