Rules of driving
Vehicle equipment
Please note that this manual contains all
the standard equipment, country-specific
equipment and special equipment for this
model series. Thus, some equipment or
features described in this manual may not
be installed onto your vehicle or are only
available in some markets. For further
configuration information, please refer to
relevant sales information or consult with your
distrib utor s ellin g the v ehicle to yo u.
Before driving
Remove any foreign debris
Before driving, thoroughly remove snow and
fallen leaves from the vehicle body.
Check vehicle conditions
Before driving off please make a daily check of
tires, oil, lights, and the bodywork to ensure
safe driving and pleasant driving.
If you feel your vehicle needs repair, please
contact an authorized service center as quickly
as possible.
Confirm that the vehicle doors and the
engine hood are closed
Before driving check that all doors are closed.
If a door is not properly closed it could open
suddenly while driving, and could result in an
accident.
If the engine hood was opened before driving
off, you should confirm that it is secured. If the
engine hood is not properly secured, it might
suddenly open while driving, and could result
in an accident.
Placing items inside the vehicle
On the instrument panel
Do not place items on the instrument panel, as
this will not only hinder the driver’s view, but
will also affect driving and the safety of the
vehicle and could result in an accident.
Driver's footrest
Do not place any item in the driver’s foot well.
Items placed in the driver's foot well can easily
get caught under the pedals, which might lead to
the driver losing control of the vehicle, and could
result in an accident.
If you need to install floor mats, please use the
floor mats suitable for this vehicle. If floor mats
are the wrong shape, not laid correctly or are
double-layered, this will affect the operation of
the pedals, which could lead to problems
starting the vehicle or difficulties changing gear,
and could result in an accident.
Under the seats
Do not place any items under the seats. Items
placed under seats can affect the position of the
seat or the prevent it from being locked in
position, which could result in an accident.
Seat backrest
Please do not place cushions or other items
between your back and the seat back. Apart
from affecting correct driving position, in the
event of a collision the seat belt and headrest
will not function properly and provide the level
of protection needed, which could result in
serious and life-threatening injuries.
Window glass
Do not stick suction pads or similar items on to
the window glass.
Suction pads act like lenses and could cause a
vehicle fire.
Precautions for driving
Do not exceed the speed limit
When driving do not exceed the speed limit
indicated by signs or other marking.
