The Hegen PCTO™ Feeding Bottle PPSU and Hegen PCTO™ Breast Milk Storage PPSU are designed for feeding infants and storing breast milk, respectively. Both products are made from Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), a material known for its durability and high heat resistance, with a range of -20°C to 180°C. The transparent cover, collar, lid, and adapter components are made from Polypropylene (PP), with a heat resistance range of -20°C to 110°C. The teats and seals are made from silicone. These products are BPA, BPS, Phthalate-Free, and PVC-Free, prioritizing the safety and health of the child.
Function Description:
The Hegen PCTO™ Feeding Bottle PPSU is a feeding bottle system that allows for easy conversion between a feeding bottle and a breast milk storage container. The "PCTO™" (Press-to-Close, Twist-to-Open) mechanism simplifies assembly and ensures a leak-free seal. The feeding bottle is designed with an anti-colic air vent in the teat to minimize air intake during feeding, which can help reduce colic symptoms.
The Hegen PCTO™ Breast Milk Storage PPSU is primarily used for storing breast milk. Its design allows for direct conversion from a feeding bottle by swapping the feeding collar and teat with a storage lid. This modularity streamlines the process of expressing, storing, and feeding breast milk without the need to transfer milk to different containers.

Usage Features:
- Modular Design: The system allows for easy conversion between a feeding bottle and a breast milk storage container. This is achieved by interchanging the collar, teat, and storage lid.
- PCTO™ Mechanism: The "Press-to-Close, Twist-to-Open" feature ensures secure sealing and easy handling. To close, press the assembled cover, teat, and collar onto the bottle. To open, twist in an anti-clockwise direction.
- Anti-Colic Air Vent: The feeding teats incorporate an anti-colic air vent, which should be matched with the higher face of the collar with the Hegen logo during assembly. This vent helps to reduce air ingestion during feeding.
- Teat Flow Rate Selection: A variety of teat flow rates are available to suit different stages of infant development, from extra slow for newborns (0m+) to thick feed for older babies (6m+). It is crucial to select the correct flow rate for the baby's age and feeding needs.
- Breast Milk Storage: Expressed breast milk can be stored in the Hegen containers in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours (not in the door) and in the freezer for 3-6 months. It is important never to refreeze breast milk or add fresh breast milk to already chilled/frozen milk.
- Assembly Instructions:
- Match the position of the ANTI-COLIC AIR VENT to the higher face of the collar with the Hegen logo.
- Pull the teat through the collar until it is snugly fitted. If the entire teat can be pulled outwards through the collar, it is improperly assembled.
- Place the transparent cover onto the assembled collar and teat.
- Tilt the transparent cover backwards to open (do not pull upwards).
- Hold the assembled cover, teat, and collar and Press-to-Close onto the bottle.
- To tighten, turn in a clockwise direction.
- To open, twist in an anti-clockwise direction.
- To convert the bottle to breast milk storage, swap to a Hegen Breast Milk Storage lid.
- Ensure lids are assembled with a removable seal (Hegen logo facing outwards) to ensure air-tight storage.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning:
- Always wash hands with soap before cleaning, sterilizing, and feeding.
- Before first use, disassemble all parts, wash with bottle detergent, and rinse thoroughly.
- After each use, take all components apart and wash immediately with bottle detergent.
- Dishwasher safe (top rack only). Avoid high-heat settings like "sanitary clean" or "heat boost" as these may distort components.
- Do not use chemically aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, solvents, or anti-bacterial cleaners.
- Take extra care when cleaning the ANTI-COLIC AIR VENT in the teat. Gently rub clean the ANTI-COLIC AIR VENT and teat opening with fingers in warm water (refer to Image 9 in the manual). Avoid aggressive handling, teat brushes, or other implements that could damage the vent or cause leaks.
- Clean all sides, base, and covers of the bottles. Do not turn the teat inside out for cleaning, as this can cause damage.
- Sterilizing:
- Suitable for sterilizing by steam (electric), boiling water, or cold water tablet/liquid solution.
- For electric steam sterilizers, follow the sterilizer's instructions.
- For boiling: Bring water to a boil, submerge components for no more than 3 minutes.
- For all sterilization methods, completely take apart all components to avoid deformation due to different material reactions.
- Ensure sufficient boiling water and avoid prolonged contact with the bottom or edges of the pot.
- Thoroughly remove all grease or oil residue before sterilizing to prevent permanent staining.
- Chemical sterilization or the use of hand cream/sun cream may cause the print to fade.
- Replacement:
- For safety and hygiene reasons, it is recommended to replace Teats every 3 months.
- Collar/Lid/Transparent Cover/Container should be replaced every 6 months.
- Inspect all items before each use. Pull the feeding teat in all directions and discard at the first sign of damage or weakness.
- The bottle and accompanying parts may blur after repeat use, washing, warming, and sterilization.
- Warning:
- Always use with adult supervision.
- Never use feeding teats as a soother.
- Prolonged sucking of fluids can cause tooth decay.
- Always check food temperature before feeding.
- Keep all components not in use out of reach of children.
- Do not leave a feeding teat in direct sunlight, heat, or disinfectant for longer than recommended.
- Do not warm contents in a microwave as this may cause uneven heating and scalding.
- Not a toy; do not allow children to play with small parts or walk/run while using bottles or cups.
- Never attach to cords, ribbons, laces, or loose parts to avoid strangulation.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
- Do not place components directly on surfaces cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaners.
- Plastic materials may be affected by high temperatures and sterilizing, impacting fitting and aesthetics.
- Proper assembly is necessary to ensure a leak-free seal.
- Only use Hegen teats with Hegen Feeding bottles.
