8 Activate the backup menu with this icon (or via Extras/Backup/Restore ... )!

If you want to create a backup archive for your TNC or PLC data:
8 Click on Scan directory tree. --> All files of the selected
partition are listed.
8 The backup should have an identifying name (for example the machine number).
HEIDENHAIN recommends to create separate archives for the TNC partition (customer
data) and the PLC partition (data of the machine tool builder).
As long as no changes are made to the machine (modifications, NC software updates, etc.)
the data in the PLC archive are up-to-date. Experience has shown that customer data (NC
programs, etc.) are changed more frequently.
There is no information on operating hours or the calibration of touch probes or overflows
of Multiturn-EnDat encoders in these archives.
