2.3 Software setup
To assign a function to a hot key:
U Press MENU/SETUP to display the setup menu and then highlight
the Hot keys menu item.
U Highlight the Keys choice field and then press a soft key to select
the desired key type or switch type. In this example the Foot switch
type is selected.
U Highlight a specific key or switch. In this example foot switch 2 is
selected.
U Press a soft key to select a function type to assign. In this example
a Special function will be assigned.
U Highlight the specific function and press the ENTER key to complete
the assignment. In this example the Auto E (Auto edge detection)
function is assigned to foot switch 2. After the assignment, pressing
foot switch 2 will toggle the edge detection between manual and
automatic.
U Press the FINISH key to return to the setup menu.
