  A vacuum bag might lose its vacuum after sealing for a couple of reasons. If you're packing food with sharp points, these could be penetrating the bag. Cut off any sharp points or cover them before packing. Also, some foods release gases, especially if they're spoiling. Blanch or freeze food properly before packaging, and discard any food if you suspect it's gone bad.
