Adjust feet until the plinth is level and does not rock. Repeat if the turntable is moved.
Fit drive belt around sub-platter and motor pulley, ensuring it is not twisted.
Carefully place the outer platter and felt mat on the sub-platter.
Tap record label to settle. Motor activates via switch; no need to turn off for record changes.
Check pick-up arm settings with the arm manufacturer's instructions.
Details colour coding for Earth, Neutral, and Live connections in the mains lead.
Ensure turntable is earthed via plug or amplifier to prevent loud hum. Check for double earthing.
Motor vibration is normal; slight hum from plinth is not transmitted to speakers.
Securely fasten pick-up arm to board. Tighten arm board mounting bolt on subchassis.
Position arm cable securely, forming a slack loop between subchassis and plinth.
Dress arm cable to ensure arm board does not touch plinth sides. Adjust suspension as needed.
Centre subchassis, align springs, and fit spring nut/seat. Do not twist springs.
Sub-platter may take time to seat fully. Aid with outer platter and spinning, do not force.
Level subchassis using socket-headed bolts. Set platter height and arm board level.
Check/adjust motor voltage. Belt should ride on pulley crown. Adjust motor pulley if belt is untrue.
Check power, belt position, and motor pulley. Refer to retailer if motor pulley is faulty.
Ensure subchassis height is correctly set and check outer platter placement.
Check earth connections and ensure turntable is not double-earthed. Move away from other equipment.
Check pick-up arm settings, stylus condition, and ensure subchassis does not foul plinth.
