Overview

This document describes the HHD S30/52 Smile Series Incubator, a device designed for hatching eggs. The manual provides detailed instructions and tips to achieve optimal hatching results.

Function Description:

The HHD S30/52 Smile Series Incubator is an automatic egg incubator that maintains controlled temperature and humidity conditions necessary for successful egg hatching. It features a built-in fan for air circulation, a heating element, and a motor for automatic egg turning. The device displays temperature and humidity readings, allowing users to monitor and adjust the incubation environment.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power: ≤50W
  • Voltage: AC195-245V (The manual also mentions AC220V/AC110V in the operation tips, suggesting it might be adaptable or available in different voltage versions, but the label on the device specifies AC195-245V).
  • Temperature Range: Adjustable from 20-39.5℃.
  • Egg Turning: Motor rotates for 10-13 seconds every two hours.

Usage Features:

  1. Package Contents: Each package includes one S30/52 egg incubator, one Styrofoam protective packaging, one power cord, one user manual, and one water bottle.
  2. Initial Setup:
    • Before use, ensure the fan, temperature and humidity display, function keys, and heater are working correctly.
    • Add full water into the water tank and close the cover.
    • Run the machine for 10-30 minutes in advance for preheating before placing eggs.
  3. Egg Selection:
    • Use fresh fertilized eggs laid within 4-7 days.
    • Store fertilized eggs at 10-15°C.
    • Do not wash eggs or put them in a fridge, as this can damage the natural powdery substance protection on the shell.
    • Ensure egg surfaces are clean, without deformity, cracks, or spots.
    • Place eggs pointy side down when hatching.
  4. Temperature and Humidity Control:
    • The incubator displays both temperature and humidity.
    • The red light on the left side of the display screen indicates when the machine is heating.
    • Temperature Setting:
      • Press the "SET" button once; the set indicator will light up.
      • Use the "▲" or "▼" buttons to adjust the temperature.
      • Press "SET" again to confirm the set temperature.
      • The adjustable temperature range is 20-39.5℃.
    • Recommended Temperature: Preheat to 38°C. During the 19th-21st days, the temperature should not exceed 37.5℃.
    • Humidity Management: Add water to the machine every 1-2 days, depending on environmental humidity and water content inside the machine. Increase humidity during the last hatching period to prevent dehydration.
  5. Egg Turning: The incubator features an automatic egg turning function. To test this function, press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds.
  6. Egg Testing (Candling):
    • Do not test eggs in the first 4 days, as incorrect timing can affect early development.
    • 5th-6th days: Check for fertilization, remove unfertilized eggs, scattered yellow eggs, and dead eggs.
    • 11th-12th days: Check inner egg development. Well-developed embryos will show enlarged blood vessels and a large, sharply demarcated air chamber.
    • 16th-17th days: Place the pointy side of the egg toward a light source. Well-developed embryos will be larger, filling most of the egg with a dark area. Dead eggs will have blurred blood vessels, a yellow air chamber, and an unclear boundary between the egg interior and the air chamber.
  7. Operation Precautions:
    • Do not open the cover frequently when the incubator is working.
    • Unplug the machine when opening the cover.
    • During the last hatching period, increase humidity and decrease temperature to avoid insufficient water and prevent dehydration.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: After hatching is complete, the cover and bottom must be air-dried separately to prevent internal moisture from damaging electronic components.
  • Disinfection: Ensure eggs are clean and without spots. Incorrect disinfection can reduce the hatching rate.
