EMPTYING AND CLEANING THE INTERNAL PIPES
Beforeusingthe machineagainafter long breaks(e.g.,vacation),the machinemust be rinsedthoroughly.Thisshort procedureservesto thoroughlypurgeand clean
the internal piping.
Procedure
1. Fillthe watertank with water (see"Gettingstarted".)
2. Connect the device to the mains socket.
3. Press the start button.
4. The LEDSon the buttonswill stabilize whenthe machinehas warmedup. The warm-uptime is approximately45seconds.
Beforepressingthe longcoffee button,makesurethat:
• Thecompartmentleveris closedandthereareno capsulesinside.
• The water tank is full.
• Thewatertank is firmly in place,otherwisethe water mayleak.
5. Placea large cup(size250mlor larger)underthe dispenser.
6. Pressthelong coffeebutton andwait for the applianceto completethe rinse.
7. Donot lift the leveruntil the rinsing processstopsautomatically.

DECALCIFICATION OF THE MACHINE
Drinkingwatervaries by region.Lime particles from potable water aredepositedas waste in the machineand can blockthe pipe and causedamage.To avoid this,
be sureto decalcifythe machineat least after making 300 to 400 cupsof coffee or,in any case,if productiondrops significantlyor after oneor two months.
Decalcification must be done correctly to avoid damage.
Carefullyfollow the instructions below.
. Fill the tank with a mixture of water anda commerciallyavailabledecalcifying liquid for coffee makers(alwaysfollow the manufacturer'sinstructions).
2. Make sure there are no capsules inside the machine.
3. Place a large container under the dispensing head to collect the mixture and lime residue.
4. Pressthe LargeCupbuttonto perform decalcification. Repeatthe processseveraltimes until allthe water inthe tank is usedup.
5. Repeatthe processto rinsethe internal circuit with atank of clean water (nodecalcifying liquid) to completelyclean the internalcircuit and ensurethe good
taste Ofyourdrinks.
Important
• Use extreme caution with hot water!
• Nevercleanthe machinewith vinegar.This will damagethe machine and makethe drinkstaste bad.
• Damagecausedby incorrectdecalcificationor lack of decalcificationis not coveredbythe warranty.
SECURITY WARNINGS
Donot wet the machineor put it in the water. Donot lift the top cover whileusing the brewer.
