Chapter 9 Log Management
Purpose:
The log files of the iVMS-5200P and the devices that connected to the iVMS-5200P can be searched
for checking. The CMS (Central Management Server) Logs refer to the log files of the iVMS-5200P, the
Remote Logs refer to the log files of the connected devices and are stored on the local device.
Click the icon on the control panel to open the Log Search page,
or click Tool->Log Search to open the Log Search page.
Searching CMS Log Files
Steps:
1. Open the Log Search page.
2. Select the radio button of CMS Logs.
3. Select the Log Type and the corresponding search condition. There are 3 log types available,
including Alarm Log, Operation Log and System Log.
Alarm Log: You can select the alarm type for query, such as motion detection, video loss, etc.
Operation Log: You can select the Operation type and the User Name.
System Log: You can select the System Type and the User Name.
4. Click the icon to specify the start time and end time.
5. Click Search. The matched log files will display on the list.
You can check the operation time, description and other information of the logs.
Note: Please narrow the search condition if there are too many log files.
