The digital signals are read out without any direct
physical contact using the semiconductor laser pick-up.

self-calibrating 16-bit D/A converter and many more

The S/N ratio is about 30 times better than in con-
ventional systems since there is none of the scratch

¢ RANDOM MEMORY TRACK SEARCH
FUNCTION
This function allows you to pick up your favorite
tracks on the disc in the preferred order and to play
them automatically. Simply by operating the pro-
gram buttons, up to 15 tracks can be reserved on this
unit in the random access memory.
® SELF-PROGRAM SEARCH SYSTEM (SPSS)
This extremely handy function automatically sear-
ches for programs and finds the start of each pro-
gram when you want to listen to the same program
again from the. beginning or when you want to skip
the program you are now listening to and hear the
following program.
SCANNER PLAY FUNCTION
This function gives you a good idea of what is on a
disc by continuously playing tracks and: skipping
material at about 30-second intervals.
