Function Description

The Hitachi room air conditioner is designed to provide cooling, heating, and dehumidifying functions for indoor spaces. The system can be controlled via a wireless remote controller (SPX-RCKA1) or optional wired remote controllers (SPX-RCDA, SPX-WKT3).

The device offers various operation modes:

Automatic Operation: The unit automatically determines the heating or cooling mode based on the current room temperature. The mode can change if the room temperature varies, but not if the indoor unit is connected to a multi-type outdoor unit.
Heating Operation: Provides heating when the outdoor temperature is above -15°C and below 21°C. If the temperature is too warm (over 21°C), the heating function may not work to protect the device. Defrosting occurs periodically (5-10 minutes every hour) when frost forms on the outdoor unit's heat exchanger.
Dehumidifying Operation: Reduces room humidity. It operates when the room temperature is over 16°C; below 15°C, this function will not work. The recommended temperature range for dehumidifying is 20-26°C.
Cooling Operation: Provides cooling when the outdoor temperature is between -10°C and 43°C. High indoor humidity (80%) might cause dew formation on the air outlet grille.
Fan Operation: Allows the unit to function simply as an air circulator without heating or cooling.
POWERFUL Operation: Activates maximum power for faster heating, cooling, or dehumidifying. This mode automatically ends after 20 minutes. It is canceled if SLEEP, ECO, or SILENT modes are selected.
SILENT Operation: Reduces fan speed to ultra-low for quieter operation. This mode is canceled if POWERFUL operation is selected.
ECO Operation: An energy-saving function that automatically adjusts the set temperature and limits maximum power consumption. It cannot be used simultaneously with POWERFUL operation or during FAN operation.
LEAVE HOME (LH) and CLEAN (One Touch Clean) Operations: These are specific functions that can be activated via the wireless remote controller. The CLEAN operation dries the indoor heat exchanger to prevent mildew and takes 60 minutes, after which the unit switches off.
Timer Functions: Includes OFF Timer, ON Timer, ON/OFF Timer, ECO Sleep Timer, and Weekly Timer for scheduled operation.
