10.4.2.7 Removing the compressor
1 Remove the service cover and the bottom service cover following Removing service cover, and Removing bottom
service cover and rear cover.
When the outdoor unit is installed close to a wall remove the refrigerant piping and move the unit from the wall.
2 Collect the refrigerant from the check joint.

CheckPerformtherecoveryworkatthecheckjoint
ofpiping.Ifnot,therefrigerantremainsinside.

3 Open the soundproof cover wrapped around the compressor and remove the terminal box cover of the compressor
body. Disconnect the compressor wires in the terminal box and disconnect the thermistor on top of the compressor.
Remove the soundproof cover.
N O T E
Checktheterminalcodesandmarkbandswhendisconnectingthewires.Connectingwiresinwrongorderat
reassemblingmayresultincompressordamage.
4 Remove the rubber cap and the thermistor attached on top of the compressor.
5 Remove the crankcase heater.
1. Sound-proof cover.
2. Oil heater.
