Welcome to Hive
This guide tells you everything you need to know to use your Hive Light.
Your Hive Light can be turned on and off and dimmed remotely from
your smartphone or tablet. You can also set schedules for when itturns
on and off.
If you’re new to Hive products, please see the user guide provided with your Hive Hub to set up your Hive account.

Getting started:
1 Add your Hive Light
You can do this using your Hive app.
Using the Hive app:
• Open the Hive app on your smartphone or
tablet. You may be asked to log in.
• Tap on Manage > Install a device > Install
Hive devices > Other Hive Devices > Start.
2 Fit the bulb into the light tting
andswitch thelight on
Ensure the wall switch for the light is switched o
before tting the bulb. Your Hive Light is tted
inthe same way traditional household bulbs are.
Once tted, switch the light on at the wall and
the bulb will then ash on and o to show that
itis searching for your Hub.
Once your Hive Light appears on the screen, it
will ash once more to conrm it’s connected.
You can now name it and press Save to
complete setup.
3 That’s it!
You’ve nished setting up your Hive Light and
you can now control it remotely.
Remember: To turn your Hive Light on or o
remotely, it must be switched on at the wall.
YourHive Light should not be dimmed using
awall mounted dimmer switch as it may cause
buzzing or ickering.
Use in dry location only.
