WARNING
It can be very dangerous to drive with the tailgate open. Carbon monoxide
(CO) gas can enter into the vehicle. You can not see or smell CO. It can cause
unconsciousness and even death.
If you must drive with the tailgate open, make sure all other windows are closed
and switch the fan on to the highest speed using any setting that brings in outside
air. Doing this will force outside air into the vehicle.
To lock:
To close the tailgate, push it down until
it latches securely. From the outside, the
tailgate can be locked with the key.
To unlock:
To open the tailgate, unlock by pressing
the door lock switch on the driver’s door
trim.
Push the button above the number plate
and lift the tailgate.
