The vehicle's ignition must be turned
on and then back off before the
remote start procedure can be used
again.
Cancelling a remote start
To cancel a remote start, do any of the
following:
● Press and hold O until the side
lights turn off.
● Turn on the hazard warning
flashers.
● Turn the ignition on and then off.
Conditions in which remote start
will not work
The remote engine start feature will
not operate if:
● The electronic key is inside the
vehicle.
● The bonnet is not closed.
● The hazard warning flashers are
on.
● The malfunction indicator light is
on.
● The engine coolant temperature
is too high.
● The oil pressure is low.
● Two remote vehicle starts, or a
single remote start with an
extension, have already been
used.
● The selector lever is not in P
(Park).
Radio remote control
Enables operation of the following
functions via the use of the remote
control buttons:
● Central locking system 3 23
● Anti-theft alarm system 3 31
● Boot lid 3 30
The remote control has an
approximate range of up to
50 metres. It can be restricted by
external influences. The hazard
warning flashers confirm operation.
Handle with care, protect from
moisture and high temperatures and
avoid unnecessary operation.
Replacing battery in radio remote
control
Replace the battery as soon as the
range reduces.
Batteries do not belong in household
waste. They must be disposed of at
an appropriate recycling collection
point.
