Vehicles with electronic key
system
1. Apply the park brake rmly.
2. Move the shift lever to the park
or neutral position.
3. Depress the brake pedal, and
for manual transmission also
depress the clutch pedal. Do not
operate the accelerator pedal.
4. Press and release Engine Start/
Stop button. An automatic
procedure operates the starter
with a short delay until the
engine is running.
Before restarting, or to switch off
the engine, press Engine Start/Stop
button once more.
Note
• Do not depress the accelerator
pedal while starting the engine.
• Do not subject the engine to
full throttle acceleration or high
speeds until it has reached
normal operating temperature.
Premature engine wear or
damage may result.
Starting the engine with a low
transmitter battery
If the electronic key battery is weak
or the electronic key fails, the Driver
Information Centre may display ‘No
remote detected’, when you try to
start the vehicle.
