Note
• To maintain the required levels of
vehicle performance and safety,
certain gearshifts may not occur
when in manual mode.
• Downward shifts are made
automatically when the vehicle
slows down.
• When the vehicle stops, rst gear
is automatically selected.
Engine braking
To utilise the engine braking effect,
select a lower gear when driving
downhill.
Warning
Do not downshift by two or more
gear positions at one time.
Note
Use of engine compression during
long mountainous descents may
prolong the life of your brakes.
Shift freely to select a gear.
Manual mode
1. Move the shift lever to position M.
2. Press the gear shift button on the
side of the shift lever:
+: shift up gear
–: shift down gear
Follow the descriptions as indicated
by the arrows when moving the
shift lever.
Press the release button to select
a gear.
Depress the brake pedal and press
the release button to select a gear.
