Starting the engine with a low
transmitter battery
If the electronic key battery is weak
or the electronic key fails, the Driver
Information Centre may display ‘No
remote detected’, when you try to
start the vehicle.

1. Place the electronic key in the
centre console front cup holder.
2. Depress the brake pedal, and
for manual transmission also
depress the clutch pedal, and
press the Engine Start/Stop
button.
3. To switch off the engine, press
the Engine Start/Stop button
again.
4. Remove the electronic key from
the transmitter pocket.
This option is intended for
emergencies only. Replace the
electronic key battery as soon as
possible.

Retained power off
The following electrical systems
operate for 10 minutes after the
ignition is switched off:
• Power windows.
• Power outlets.
• Infotainment system.
The infotainment system can be
turned back on.
Once the driver’s door is opened
after the ignition is switched off, the:
• power windows operate for
approximately 45 seconds, and
• the infotainment system will turn
off but can be turned back on.
