150 Driving and operating
Release shift lever
Before shifting out of P:
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Press the brake pedal to the oor.
If you cannot shift out of P with the
ignition on and the brake pedal
pressed:
3. Turn the ignition off.
4. Press and hold the brake pedal.
5. Pull up on the park brake lever.
6. Remove the cap on the centre
console with a thin object such
as a at-blade screwdriver.
Fault
In the event of a fault, Z illuminates.
The transmission no longer shifts
automatically or manually because it
is locked in a certain gear.
Contact a Holden Dealer.
Interruption of power supply
If the power supply is interrupted,
the shift lever cannot be moved out
of position P.
If the battery is discharged, start the
vehicle using jump leads.

If the battery is not the cause of the
fault, release the shift lever.
7. Press the screwdriver into the
slot. The ignition key can if a
screwdriver is not available.
8. Move the shift lever to N.
9. Remove the screwdriver from the
slot.
10. Replace the cap.
11. Have the vehicle repaired by
a Holden Dealer as soon as
possible.
