18. Remove the jack from under the
vehicle.
19. With the wheel on the ground,
use the wrench to tighten the
wheel nuts in the sequence
shown.
20. Replace the at tyre and tools in
the load compartment and have
the at tyre renewed or repaired.
Note
When stowing a damaged
18" wheel and tyre follow the
procedure below:
21. Replace the tools in the load
compartment beneath the oor
covering.
Note
The damaged wheel should
be stowed face up in the load
compartment secured with the
supplied strap.
22. Position the wheel face up in the
middle of the load compartment.
23. Place the loop end of the strap
through the front lashing eye on
one side.
24. Place the hook end of the strap
through the loop and pull it until
the strap is fastened securely to
the lashing eye.
25. Insert the strap through the
spokes of the wheel as shown in
the illustration.
26. Mount the hook to the front
lashing eye on the opposite side.
27. Tighten the strap and secure it
using the buckle.
Danger
Always drive with folded up and
engaged rear seat backrests
when stowing a damaged
full size wheel in the load
compartment.
28. Have the at tyre renewed or
repaired.
29. Replace and secure the renewed
or repaired tyre and tools back in
the load compartment under the
oor covering.
