2. Press the MENU button on the
turn signal lever, to select the
Remaining oil life display in the
Driver Information Centre (DIC).
3. Press the SET/CLR button to
reset the oil life to 100%.
4. Turn the ignition Off.
Take care not to reset the display
accidentally at any time other than
after the oil is changed.
If the vehicle message comes back
on when the vehicle is started, the
engine oil life system has not reset.
Repeat the procedure.
Vehicle messages
Messages are displayed on the
Driver Information Centre (DIC) in
the instrument cluster or audible as
a warning chime.
Not all messages are displayed on
all vehicles.
Messages displayed on the DIC
indicate the status of the vehicle or
some action that may be needed to
correct a condition.
The messages that do not
require immediate action can be
acknowledged and cleared by
pressing SET/CLR.
The messages that require
immediate action cannot be cleared
until that action is performed. All
messages should be taken seriously
and clearing the messages does not
correct the problem.

How to reset the engine oil life
system
Reset the system whenever the
engine oil is changed so the system
can calculate the next engine oil
change.
1. Turn the ignition On with the
engine not running.
