EMERGENCIES
5. Remove the spare wheel, which is
secured under the rear of the chassis
frame by a chain.
To lower the spare wheel, insert the
jack handle into the hole at the rear
of the vehicle below the tailgate.
Slide the jack handle all the way in to
engage the catch, then turn the handle
anticlockwise.
To raise the spare wheel, turn the jack
handle clockwise to the wheel ‘stop’
then give an additional turn to securely
hold the spare wheel in position.
6. Loosen (but do not remove) the wheel
nuts by turning the wheel wrench
anticlockwise.
7. Place the jack under the recommended
jacking point.
Front jacking point: Set the jack to
the lower surface on the 2nd mounting
bracket.
Rear jacking point: Set the jack within
90 mm from the leaf spring under the
axle tube. Align the recess on the
jack head to the curved surface of the
axle tube.
WARNING
Failure to position the jack as described
could result in serious personal injury
or vehicle damage caused by the
vehicle slipping off the jack.
Ensure the jack is not tilted and the base
is resting squarely on the ground.
WARNING
The jack is a 2-stage ram jack. Stop extending the jack when both rams are raised
to the point where the stop mark on the rams becomes visible. Further extension
could damage the jack, making it unstable.
