WARNING
• As soon as possible after changing a wheel, you should have the wheel nuts
tightened with a torque wrench to 118 Nm (Newton metres) and have the new
wheel balanced on the vehicle.
• Wheel nuts should be tightened evenly to the correct torque in the sequence shown,
as wheel nuts which have not been properly tightened could eventually allow the
wheel to come off while the vehicle is moving!
TROLLEY JACK LOCATIONS
If using a trolley jack to raise the vehicle,
it is important that the jack be positioned
under the suspension cross member
or hoist pad locations, as shown in the
illustration.
WARNING
• Do not jack under the suspension
control arms.
• The vehicle should always be
supported by jack stands when
raised.
Note Always use the jack locations
shown in step 7 of the previous section,
when using the original jack supplied with
the vehicle. This jack has been designed
to correctly and safely lift the vehicle,
provided the warnings are observed.
