WEEKLY CHECKS

MISCELLANEOUS CHECKS
There are a few simple, weekly checks that the owner/operator is recommended to
make. These are shown on the following pages.
As well as taking your vehicle to be serviced, refer to the Service/warranty booklet.
WARNING
• If the engine temperature is high, the cooling fan may remain on for several minutes
after switching off the ignition. Therefore, the engine cooling fan can start working
unexpectedly, even when the engine is not running and the ignition is off.
• Electronic ignition systems have a high ignition power. Do not touch the ignition
system; this could be highly dangerous.
The following checks should also be regularly done to ensure safety of your vehicle.
Check that:
• All exterior lights are working and their appropriate interior indicator illuminates.
• Mirrors and glass are clean and not scratched.
• The aim of water on the windscreen is satisfactory.
• The condition of the wipers is satisfactory.
• The demister operates.
• The horn works.
• Check the condition and operation of all the seatbelts. Check that buckles are clean
and operating correctly. Remember that seatbelts must never be worn twisted.
