TOWING
Chapter 9
TOW AND LOAD
9-4
TRAILERS
The word ‘trailer’ is used throughout this section and is intended to include all types of
towed vehicles, such as a caravan, boat trailer or any other special purpose trailer.
TOWING
The vehicle is designed primarily as a light commercial vehicle, so handling, durability
and economy may be affected by towing a trailer.
Refer to the Towing equipment table further on in this chapter to see which equipment
is specied as mandatory for the weight you are towing. Your Holden Dealer will help
supply and install towing equipment to suit your requirements.
OVERLOADING
Never exceed the loads given for the towing equipment tted to the vehicle. For your
safety and the vehicle’s durability, all mandatory equipment must be tted. Otherwise
you may void the New Vehicle Warranty, to the extent that Holden considers the
overloading or missing equipment to have affected the specications or quality of
the vehicle.

Holden towing equipment is recommended where it is available. Where it is not
available, no recommendation is made as to the make of equipment which should
be used. Holden will not accept liability for defects occurring in towing equipment not
marketed by Holden or for defects in the vehicle arising from the use of such equipment
or for loss or injury caused by use of such equipment. The use of such equipment
may void your New Vehicle Warranty, to the extent that Holden considers the non-
recommended equipment affects the specications or quality of your Holden vehicle. It
is inadvisable to mix and match different brands of towing equipment, as equipment is
usually designed as an integrated package.
