CRUISE CONTROL

Restoring the previous speed setting
When the SET/COAST button has been used to reduce cruise speed, the last preset
speed will be stored in the memory of the cruise control system. To restore the last
preset speed, use the accelerator pedal to increase vehicle speed to within 20 km/h
of the previous setting, then rotate the end of the lever to RES/ACC for less than
0.6 second.
Note
• If you hold the end of the lever in the RES/ACC position for more than one second,
the previous speed memory is erased and the speed increases until you release
the switch.
• Cruise control set speed is cancelled when the vehicle approaches 0 km/h. Cruise
control memory (previous set stored speed) is therefore cleared and cannot be
resumed via the RES/ACC lever. Vehicle speed will need to be set again (while the
vehicle is in motion and above 40 km/h).
Deactivating cruise control
There are several ways to deactivate cruise control:
• Apply the brake pedal.
• Apply the clutch pedal (manual transmission).
• Shift the transmission lever to N (automatic transmission) after the vehicle has
stopped.
• Select CANCEL on the cruise control lever.
• Press and hold the SET/COAST button to reduce the set speed by more than
20 km/h or until the vehicle speed is below 40 km/h.
Note The last preset speed is stored in the memory of the cruise control system.
Switching cruise control off
• Press the cruise control main switch off, on the dashboard (light off).
• Stop the vehicle and switch OFF the ignition.
Note If cruise control senses a system fault, it will switch off. For example, if climbing
a steep hill when a constant speed cannot be maintained.
