To open the tailgate press the button
below the handle.
After partially opening, gas struts
take over to lift and hold the tailgate
in the open position.
Manual tailgate release
If the battery has been disconnected
or is fl at, the tailgate unlock button
will not operate.
Tailgate (Sportwagon)
Warning
To prevent dangerous exhaust
fumes entering the vehicle, close
the tailgate when the engine is
running. If it is necessary to leave
the tailgate open (while carrying
bulky cargo) close all windows,
switch heater controls to ‘fresh’
and set fan to highest speed.
Key button
Press c to unlock all the doors and
the tailgate.
If the Two stage unlock feature
has been selected in the vehicle
personalisation menu, press the
unlock button a second time.

To open the tailgate, access the
cargo area from inside the vehicle.
1. Using a fl at-blade screwdriver,
remove the rubber cover at (A).
2. Insert a fl at-blade screwdriver
into the hole (B) and turn
anticlockwise.
