• Each animated symbol will be
displayed for about 1 second
before the display returns to
Alarm Activated.
• The animated symbols are
shown in a continuous cycle until
the TRIP button is pressed.
The following messages are possible
depending upon the model and what
has activated the alarm:
• by Bonnet: if the bonnet has
been opened.
• by Boot/tailgate: if the boot
(Sedan) or tailgate (Sportwagon)
has been opened.
• by Passenger doors: if one of
the passenger doors has been
opened.
• by Driver’s door: if the driver’s
door has been opened.
Anti-theft alarm system
If the horn chirps when c on the key
is pressed, an attempted break-in
has occurred.
• If the alarm has been activated,
the Alarm Activated animated
symbol is displayed for about
1 second followed by an
animated symbol showing which
trigger point has activated the
alarm.
• If there is more than one trigger
point, an animated symbol for
each of them will follow.
Immobiliser
This vehicle is fi tted with an
immobiliser. It prevents unauthorised
engine starting.
The ignition key will be recognised
by the vehicle when the key is
inserted into the ignition.
When diffi culties in starting the
vehicle are experienced, check the
following:
• Extend the blade fully before
inserting into the ignition.
• Do not have large bundles of
keys attached to the ignition key.
• Do not have keys from other
vehicles attached to the
ignition key.
• Do not attempt to start the
vehicle with a non-approved key.
If the vehicle still fails to start,
contact a Holden Dealer.
