Trailer recommendations
A
A trailer hitched to a vehicle places
a weight on the towbar. This weight
is called the towbar ball weight or
tow ball load (A).
The tow ball load should be
between 5% and 10% of the loaded
trailer weight. Adjust by moving
items forwards or backwards inside
the trailer to change the balance.
For heavy trailers with more than
one axle, the tow ball load should
be in the range of 5% to 10% of the
loaded trailer mass.
If the tow ball l oad is too l ight or too
heavy, the steering and handling of
the vehicle may be affected.
The tow ball load must not exceed
160 kg.
Axle loads must not be exceeded
when the tow ball load is included.
See “Axle loads” under Vehicle
Weight on page 12‑5.
If maximum axle loads are
exceeded, transfer weight from the
rear of the vehicle onto the trailer.
Ensure the weight of the packed
trailer is not greater than the towing
capacity of the Holden-approved
towbar package fitted to the vehicle.
Parking Assist (PA)
PA is available as an accessory.
The system will automatically
deactivate when a trailer lighting
plug is connected to the vehicle.
It will automatically activate again
when the plug is removed.
