Carrying portable gas cylinders in
vehicles
{
WARNING
Gas cylinders can leak, creating a
risk of fire or explosion. As a
precaution, ensure adequate
ventilation when carrying gas
cylinders. They must be
restrained from rolling around
and, if possible, placed in the load
area of the vehicle.
If gas cylinders are frequently
transported, it is recommended
that a purpose-built carrying
compartment is used. Ensure that
any transportation of gas
cylinders complies with the
relevant regulations.
Securing loads
{
WARNING
Do not operate the vehicle with
the tailgate in the open position
as items may fall from the load
area and the number plate will be
obscured from view.
Do not use the moulded ribs in the
rear load area to secure load items.
Tie points
A
Use the six tie points (A) to secure
loads (three on either side of the
load area).
Tie-down rails
The vehicle may have tie-down rails
for securing heavy objects.
