Note: Depending on vehicle

Speedometer
Speedometer (C), shows vehicle
speed in kilometres per hour (km/h).
Tachometer
Tachometer (B), shows engine
speed in thousands of revolutions
per minute (RPM).
Fuel Gauge
Fuel gauge (D), shows the level of
fuel in the fuel tank (E =empty,F
= full).
Note: Large additions of fuel will
change the gauge reading quickly.
Small additions can take up to
10 minutes to register. This prevents
false readings due to fuel movement
when cornering.
Engine Coolant
Temperature Gauge
Engine coolant temperature
gauge (A), shows temperature of
the engine coolant when the ignition
is on (C = cold, H = hot).
If the needle moves all the way
to H:

Stop the vehicle as soon as it is
safe to do so. See Engine
Overheating on page 1010.
The gauge reading can move
towards H under the following
conditions:
.
Stop-start driving
.
High speed driving in warm
weather
.
Hill climbing
.
Tow in g
This is normal.
