Engine Cooling System
Messages
Engine temperature hot animation
If the Engin e Temp Hot animation
is displayed, the engine coolant is
excessively hot:

Stop the vehicle as soon as it is
safe to do so.

Press TRIP or the ENTER
button to clear the animation.

C Temp Hot remains displayed
until the problem is repaired.

Engine oil low add oil animation
(V8 engines)

Add Oil
Oil Low
If the Engin e Oil Low Add Oil
animation is displayed, the engine
oil level is low:

Turn the ignition off and remove
the key.

Check the engine oil level. See
Engine Oil on page 10‑7.

Press TRIP or the ENTER
button to clear the animation.

: Oil Low remains displayed
until the oil is filled to the correct
level.
