6-6 Lighting
Lighting Features
Entry Lighting
The headlamps, tail lamps, number
plate lamps, reverse lamps, dome
lamps and most of the interior lights
turn on briefly when the Remote
Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter
K
button is pressed, or when the door
handle is pulled on a keyless
access vehicle. After about
30 seconds the exterior lamps turn
off, then the dome lamps and
remaining interior lights dim to off.
This feature can be changed. See
“Exterior Lighting by Unlocking”
under Vehicle Personalisation on
page 5-30.
Exit Lighting
Headlamps and tail lamps illuminate
the way for an adjustable time after
leaving the vehicle.
Note: The automatic headlamp
system must be on.
Activation, deactivation and duration
of lighting of this function can be
changed. See “Exterior Lighting by
Unlocking” under Vehicle
Personalisation on page 5-30.
Battery Power Protection
To prevent the battery from
discharging, the lamps for the glove
box and reading lamps are switched
off automatically approximately
10 minutes after the ignition is
turned off.
Once the lamps have been
deactivated, they are reactivated if
either:

The ignition is switched on
.
The vehicle is unlocked
