Closing the boot will rearm the
alarm for the boot after a short
delay.
Note: While the alarm is armed, it
will activate if:
.
Any door is opened.
.
Any door is unlocked without
pressing
K on the key.
Activate/deactivate
If activated, the alarm sounds and
the turn signals flash.
To deactivate the alarm, do one of
the following:
.
Press the K button on the key.
.
Switch on the ignition.
.
Allow t he alarm to time out after
about 30 seconds and reset
itself, to guard against further
break-in attempts.
Anti-theft Alarm System
If the horn chirps when K on the
key is pressed, an attempted
break-in has occurred.
.
If the alarm has been activated,
the Alarm Activated animated
symbol is displayed for about
1secondfollowedbyan
animated symbol showing which
trigger point has activated the
alarm.
.
If there is more than one trigger
point, an animated symbol for
each of them will follow.
.
Each animated symbol will be
displayed for about 1 second
before the display returns to
Alarm Activated.
.
The animated symbols are
shown in a continuous cycle until
the TRIP button is pressed.
The following messages are
possible depending on the model
and what has activated the alarm:
.
by Bonnet: if t he bonnet has
been opened.
.
by Boot: if t he boot has been
opened.
.
by Passenger doors:ifoneof
the passenger doors has been
opened.
.
by Driver’s door: if the driver’s
door has been opened.
