HoMedics, Inc., garantiza este producto contra defectos en material y

mano de obra durante el período de un año a partir de la fecha original

Esta garantía de producto de HoMedics no cubre daños causados por

izado, o la reparación de productos dañados a causa de estas modiﬁ-

caciones. HoMedics no será responsable de ningún tipo de daños

incidentales, consecuentes o especiales. Todas las garantías implíci-

Para obtener un servicio cubierto por la garantía para su producto

HoMedics, puede entregar la unidad personalmente o enviarla por

correo junto con su recibo de compra fechado (como prueba de la

compra), el franqueo pagado, junto con un cheque o una orden de

pago por el monto de $5.00, pagadero a HoMedics, Inc. para cubrir

los gastos de manipulación.

Una vez recibido, HoMedics reparará o reemplazará su producto,

según lo que sea apropiado y se lo enviará con el franqueo pagado.

Si es apropiado reemplazar su producto, HoMedics lo reemplazará

con uno igual o comparable, a opción de Homedics. La garantía es

válida únicamente a través del Centro de servicio HoMedics. El servi-

How to Set Up the ParaSpaPlus Unit

The HoMedics ParaSpaPlus is a paraffin bath designed for home use, offering warm, soothing relief from muscle tension and moisturizing benefits for dry hands. It is built with high-quality craftsmanship and aims to provide a salon-like experience for relaxation, tension relief, and soothing sore muscles.

Function Description:

The ParaSpaPlus utilizes paraffin heat therapy, which seals in heat and contours to the afflicted area for a moist heat treatment. This therapy is beneficial for symptomatic relief of pain caused by arthritis, bursitis, and chronic joint inflammation. It also helps relax muscles, relieve stiffness and muscle spasms, stimulate circulation, and soften and soothe dry, cracked skin.

Important Safeguards and Warnings:

Electrical Safety: Always read all instructions before use. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water; unplug it immediately. Do not place the appliance where it can fall into a tub or sink, or drop into water or other liquid. Store in a cool, dry place. Always unplug before cleaning. Do not plug or unplug with wet hands. Do not use while bathing. The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other); if it doesn't fit, reverse it. If it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Burn/Injury Risk: Close supervision is necessary when used by, on, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons. This product should not be used by individuals with physical ailments limiting their capacity to operate controls. Use only for its intended purpose as described in the manual.
Paraffin Wax Handling: Do not overfill the unit; keep the wax level about 1.5 inches from the top. Never operate without paraffin wax. Do not heat paraffin wax in its plastic packaging, over an open flame, on a range, stove, or in a microwave. Do not pour melted paraffin wax from the tub. Unplug before filling with wax. Do not use accessories or wax not recommended or sold by HoMedics. Do not put water into the tub/unit. Never use sharp instruments to remove solidified paraffin wax.
Health Considerations: If you have or have had any skin conditions, diseases, or health problems, consult your physician before use. Do not apply paraffin wax on open cuts, wounds, warts, inflamed skin, or when sensation in extremities is decreased. Consult a physician for acute inflammation, peripheral vascular disease, or decreased sensation before use. Do not apply hot wax near eyes or other heat-sensitive areas. Discontinue use and consult a physician if the wax feels too hot or not warm enough, or if dermatitis, discomfort, irritation, or pain occurs. Test the wax on the inside of your wrist to ensure a comfortable temperature.
General Use: Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not drop or insert objects into openings. Do not carry by the supply cord. Do not use outdoors. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Do not place on or near hot gas, flames, electric elements, or in a heated oven. Do not operate where aerosol spray products are being used or oxygen is being administered. Never use while sleeping or drowsy. Use on a sturdy, level surface only.

Usage Features:

The ParaSpaPlus unit is designed for household use only and is not a professional device.

Contents: The unit includes the paraffin bath tub, 2 lbs. of paraffin wax, and 20 plastic liners.
Setup: Place the unit on a level, sturdy surface. Ensure the tub is empty and clean before adding wax. Open the bags of paraffin wax and place them in the tub. The unit holds a maximum of 2.5 lbs. and a minimum of 2 lbs. Always keep the wax level between the "MIN" and "MAX" lines marked inside the tub.
Power and Heating: Plug the unit into a 110V/120V A/C household outlet. Move the blue button to the "ON" position. The large oval button will glow red, indicating the melting cycle has started. The approximate melting time is 2 hours.
Ready Indicator: The oval button will change from red to green when the wax is ready for use. Depress the oval button to open the lid. Important Note: Never dip your hand into the ParaSpa bath while the LED light is red, as this is the melt mode and the wax will be too hot (temperature between 123-131 degrees Fahrenheit).
Application: Before immersing your hand, test the wax on the inside of your wrist for comfort. Remove all jewelry. It is suggested to wash the area and apply lanolin-based hand lotion before dipping to aid wax removal and moisturize skin. Quickly dip the hand into the melted paraffin wax and remove immediately. Wait a few seconds for the wax to solidify. Repeat this 6-10 times to form several layers. For longer heat treatment, place a plastic liner over the treated area and twist the bag at the opening, keeping the wax and liner on for 15-30 minutes.
Wax Removal: Peel off the wax from the treated area. If using a plastic liner, the wax will peel off with the liner.
Wax Re-use: If you are the only person using the ParaSpa, the wax can be re-used by simply putting it back into the tub to re-melt.
Shut-off: Move the blue button to the "OFF" position when finished using the unit.

Maintenance Features:

Periodically, the used paraffin wax should be replaced, and the unit cleaned.

Solidifying Wax: Unplug the unit and allow the paraffin wax to solidify overnight.
Removing Wax Block: Push on one end of the paraffin wax block to tip it up, then lift it out of the unit and dispose of it. Do not use sharp objects to remove the wax block, as this may scratch or damage the tub. If the wax does not remove easily, plug the unit in and allow it to heat for 10-15 minutes, then remove the block and unplug.
Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the inside of the unit with a disposable towel to remove residual dirt and paraffin. With a damp, soapy cloth, wipe clean. Do not pour water into the unit or immerse the unit in water.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
Re-using the ParaSpa: When ready for the next heat treatment, repeat the setup steps (2-7) and then the paraffin treatment steps (1-6).
